In a maxi taxi, the young man (aka Player) on a cell phone to his girlfriend (#1 or maybe she is #2).
Player: "Ah ha' to work late gyul. Ah go come tomorrow ok?."

Then dials another number and calls the name of another female:
Player: "Anita (let's just call her that) Yeah, meet me by Red Hill junction, ok, for 6 o'clock. Ah nearly reach."

Sound like somebody gettin' horned. Doh say I say. Ah jus' hear so!

Dem take over

Imagine standing next to the coffin of your youngest son, and being rudely moved away by some people you barely know, who have (apparently!) a greater claim to his body than you. You cannot even grieve in peace, before they want to remove you from the spot and get on with their proceedings. So much for a mother's grief. Ah hear that's what happened recently. De Muslim men come and take over de whole t'ing. No respect for the mother of the departed. Dry so. "Move she from dey" is what dey say. Doh say I say. Ah just hear so!

Fire in Port of Spain

Ah hear they really wanted to get rid of the people in that mall...so they finally got what they wanted with the fire.
Seems a waste though with so many people jobless now. How are we supposed to be ready for 20/20 when we cannot put out a simple fire but have to let it spread so far to cause so much damage?

They want to raise maxi-taxi fares again!!

Heard in a maxi-taxi today. Can you believe these people?

Also heard: a maxi driver talking about how every other day he puts aside $300. Now if he can afford to do that every other day, why the need to raise the fares?!!

Credit card fraud alert

Everywhere you go....
After they swipe your credit card, watch out for persons with cellphones that can be camera-phones because they may be taking a picture of your card.

At the Gym...
Don't leave your wallet in the locker especially if you have your credit cards in it! Someone learnt this lesson the hard way!

At restaurants....
When your card is returned to you, make sure you check to see if it is in fact your card. Some restaurant staff are exchanging credit cards with expired ones.

No smoking on UWI campus

Somebody tell somebody and I overhear, that smoking is supposedly not allowed anywhere on campus. Did they just forget to inform the smokers then?

A planned hit

Somebody planning to rob a warden's office, maybe when they get all the money to cash urp cheques...ah hear so!
